Position Overview:

As a Merchant Services Sales Representative, you will be responsible for prospecting, developing, application processing, fielding customer service-related questions, and maintaining relationships with business owners who are in need of payment processing solutions. This is a 1099 (independent contractor) position, offering a highly flexible, remote working environment. However, occasional travel to client locations in Minnesota could be expected, so the ideal candidate must have the ability to drive to meet with clients or partners in person when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quickly train on our platforms and industry standards. Have financial industry experience and be able to understand and talk to our ideal clients.
  • Identify and develop leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Present Evolve Payment’s merchant service solutions to business owners,CFOs, Controllers, and office managers highlighting our competitive advantages with software integrations.
  • Consult with clients to understand their payment processing needs andprovide tailored solutions.
  • Close sales and manage accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction andaddressing any concerns or questions.
  • Maintain relationships with clients for potential upsell opportunities orreferrals.

Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience (preferably in financial services, banking, merchant services, or a related field).
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline.
  • Basic financial understanding and the ability to explain payment processingsystems to clients.
  • Professional services skills, with an emphasis on relationship building andeffective communication.
  • Ability to drive to client meetings within your region, as needed.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and driven to meet sales goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in merchant services or payment processing.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales software.
